Philodendron Paraiso Verde is another beautiful plant from the philodendron family. This plant has long, stunning, beautiful leaves that grow on small stems. If you're looking for a beautiful, low-maintenance plant for indoors, you're sure to love this species. This Philo is quite rare so it might be a bit difficult to get hold of it, but if you get one it is a worthy purchase and a wonderful addition to your houseplant collection.
Philodendron Paraiso Verde is a super rare fast climbing, large-leaf Philodendron capable of climbing 10 feet in a single season. The vines on this highly variegated monster grow to one inch or more in diameter. In captivity, indoors on a totem, Paraiso Verde is easy to grow and may only need to be trimmed once a year or so. Truly beautiful!
The two popular types of Philodendron are climbers and non-climbing varieties. The climbers, are suited to the average room as long as you provide firm support for the stems. The climbing Philodendrons produce aerial roots from the stems. Most of the non-climbers are capable of growing into immense plants with large, deeply lobed leaves. These are more suited to buildings with large open spaces. Average wamth is required, not less than 55F in winter. 'Paraiso Verde' (which translates as 'Green Paradise') is a climbing philodendren which has elongated lobed leaves with a marbled variegation.
Fertilizer that I include as an option is an excellent choice for professional growers or nurseries if you grow plant in a pot. I personally use it for all my plants. It has polymer coating to allow slow release during 8-9 months evenly. You don't have to worry about repotting the plant for about 1 year or worry about burning plant with your regular over the counter fertilizer. You need about 3-4oz per 3 gal pot or 4-5oz per 5 gal pot.
Derived from: Polymer-Coated: Ammonium Nitrate,
Ammonium Phosphate, Potassium Sulfate, Magnesium
Sulfate, Sodium Borate, Iron Phosphate, Iron EDTA,
Manganese Sulfate, Sodium Molybdate, Zinc Sulfate; Copper Sulfate, Zinc Oxide
The pot is not included. Root ball of the plant comes in a plastic poly bag, sealed to maintain moisture for the 3 days that the plant is in transit.
Height of the plants is measured from the base of the root ball.
