Planting Instructions
Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost for best results. Sow seeds on the soil surface and lightly cover with a thin layer of soil. Keep soil evenly moist and maintain temperatures around 60–70°F (15–21°C). Transplant seedlings outdoors after frost danger has passed, spacing plants 10–12 inches apart.
Light & Soil Requirements
Prefers full sun to light partial shade. Grows best in fertile, well-draining soil with neutral to slightly alkaline pH. Avoid heavy, waterlogged soils.
Watering & Care
Water regularly, allowing soil to dry slightly between waterings. Do not overwater. Apply a light, balanced fertilizer during active growth. Pinch young plants to encourage bushier growth and deadhead spent blooms to prolong flowering.
Notes
Cool weather encourages stronger stems and better flower quality. Plants perform best in mild temperatures and may struggle in extreme heat.
