Planting Instructions
Direct sow outdoors in early spring after frost, or in fall for earlier blooms the following year. Sow seeds on the soil surface and lightly press into the soil; do not bury deeply. Keep soil evenly moist until germination. Thin or space plants 8–12 inches apart.
Light & Soil Requirements
Prefers full sun but tolerates light shade. Grows best in well-draining soil and adapts well to poor or sandy soils. Avoid overly rich or wet conditions.
Watering & Care
Water regularly during establishment. Once mature, plants are drought tolerant and require minimal care. Avoid heavy fertilization, as it encourages foliage over flowers. Deadhead to extend blooming or allow plants to self-seed naturally.
Notes
Deptford Pink is well-suited for wildflower gardens and low-maintenance landscapes. Cool weather promotes the best flowering performance.
