Rocky Mountain Bee Plant is a fast-growing annual wildflower with airy pink-purple blooms that bees and butterflies love. For easiest success, sow seeds outdoors in late fall so winter chill helps break dormancy naturally; they will sprout when the weather warms. If you’re sowing in spring, you can improve germination by cold-stratifying the seeds first: place them in slightly damp sand or a paper towel in the fridge for about 3–4 weeks, then sow.

Choose a full-sun spot with well-drained soil. This plant thrives in average to dry, sandy, or rocky ground and does not like soggy clay. Scatter seeds on the soil surface and press them in lightly or cover with just a dusting of soil—don’t bury deeply. Keep the top layer of soil lightly moist until seedlings emerge; germination can take anywhere from 10 to 30+ days depending on temperature.
