Plant Details
• Germination: 7–14 days
• Bloom time: 8–10 weeks from seed
• Height: 12–18 inches (30–45 cm)
• Life cycle: Annual
• Self-seeding: Yes
Planting Instructions
Direct sow outdoors after the last frost, or start indoors 4–6 weeks early. Sow seeds on the soil surface and lightly cover with a very thin layer of soil. Keep soil evenly moist until germination. Space plants 8–12 inches apart once seedlings are established.
Light & Soil Requirements
Prefers full sun (6+ hours daily). Grows best in well-draining, sandy or loamy soil. Avoid heavy or waterlogged soil.
Watering & Care
Water regularly during early growth. Once established, plants are drought tolerant and require minimal watering. Do not over-fertilize; poor to average soil promotes better flowering. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering.
Notes
Flowering may slow during extreme heat. Plants may reseed naturally if flowers are left to mature.
